"Sway" was the result of a design challenge sponsored by Mt. Baker Plywood. Over the course of 3 weeks entrants designed and built children's furniture from a single 4' x 4' sheet of plywood. The final design was reviewed by local craftsmen, teachers, and parents, along with a first grade class from a local elementary school.

Sway incorporates aspects of classic childhood toys such as the rocking horse, the see-saw, and the balance board. A child can practice balance by standing in the center and rocking back and forth, or two children can play together on the Sway.

Sway's simple design allows room for the child's imagination and creates a space for play.
